Overview
Day tour takes you on an adventure through the jungle to discover the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia. One of only three national flowers in Indonesia (the other two being white jasmine and moon orchid), the Rafflesia is very rare as it only blooms for 4-5 days after a gestation period of 9 months.
So if your trip to Sumatra happens to coincide with its flowering you are very lucky indeed.

Activities :

8:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel/guesthouse after breakfast.

9:30 AM: Arrival at the village of Batu Katak or Tulang Gepang after a short drive (1 hour) by air-conditioned car or motorbike, depending on group size.

9:30 - 11:30 AM: Begin a 1-2 hour jungle trek to locate the Rafflesia. The guide will provide insights about the Rafflesia and the local flora, fauna, and wildlife encountered along the way.

12:00 PM: Free time to swim in the river.

1:00 PM: Lunch prepared by the tour team.

2:00 PM: Return drive to Bukit Lawang.

Important Note
To increase your chances of seeing the Rafflesia, contact us beforehand. We can often predict blooming periods, typically during the rainy season, and will check if it coincides with your visit.
